Fun Fact: Before he launched his insurance career, Triforta’s founder and CEO, Rodney Mattos, began his career in the trades. Rodney worked with his hands and his head and, over the years, became a master finish craftsman! His work quickly garnered recognition and applause. Design awards soon followed! Rodney-the-Master-Craftsman was even featured in Street of Dreams! (This once-annual talent celebration featured real estate developers and craftspeople who had been invited to build ornate and extravagant homes without pesky budget parameters!)

Commercial experience of historic (and epic) proportions…
After sixteen years, and after ascending to the master craftsman apex, Rodney was eager for new challenges. That’s when he segued to the insurance industry. Eager to help his former colleagues and fellow contractors secure the types of coverage they needed, for the next 30 years, Rodney honed his insurance business development, strategy, and management skills.
Rodney’s new skillset turned out to be an ideal match for a new dental carrier in the Sacramento region; he joined the Premier Access team prior to launch. Rodney dedicated the next nineteen years to build the insurance carrier from the ground up. In 2013, Premier Access was so successful it was acquired by Guardian.

All of this means that Rodney knows commercial insurance from every conceivable and imaginable angle—as an insurance agent, an insurance carrier, and an insurance-covered tradesman. He’s fluent in both the trades and the insurance industry. When you converse with Rodney, you’re talking to a wealth of knowledge. But don’t be intimidated; Rodney—and all Triforta consultants—speaks your language!
Triforta was initially, in fact, solely focused on the trades; our first and then-only agency specialized in commercial lines of coverage. Everything we are today was built upon our commercial insurance foundation. (Puns intended.)
